what is web 2.0

collection of systems for web 2.0

As the name suggests, web 2.0 is the new face of the world wide web(www). Darcy Di Nucci in 1991 came up with this miracle idea in her paper and after that. It was popularized at a massive scale in O’Reilly media web conference in 2004 by Tim O’ Reilly and Dale Dougherty.

How web 2.0 concept is work?

This new concept came up with a new idea for the new face of websites. As user participation is the main focus in this new face of the web, we call interactive websites. We all know that the one way communication is never efficient, cause feedback is not present. That’s why this new face of the web will be the focus on being highly participative.

As user feedback is very much crucial in the case of generating quality content. The major drawback in the previous version is the fact that due to meagre user participation, the content was not very user optimize.

How it beneficial for Websites.

This new rise in web development is built to be very compatible with every type of system and user. It also removes the waiting for the page to be load completely, before the user can interact, as the user can interact the part of the page that is loaded and even edit Wikipedia pages so that the user feedback can be increased to a new level.

there are many other features like social websites, websites labels, and tagging and even like button so that the end-user can give more information so that the content can be optimized more in terms of end-user experience.

Main features of web 2.0 sites

As we already discussed the main focus of Web 2.0. Is the compatibility and the participation of the user, and it only specifies the design and the use of these websites. We already know that in its predecessor the people only used to the static type of HTML, but in this new version, the HTML will be dynamic in nature.

for these fantastic features to be present this new era of websites called the latest phase of the sites uses Ajax and Javascript framework which uses XML or JSON(javascript object notation format) to operate in favour of the fantastic user interface with the websites.

At this point, it is clear that the web designers of the current era can now make their pages function like fast, responsive desktop applications so that users will give input to every page which will then turn to optimize and increase even more features and a new orientation to the previous web pages.

The language which we talked about above, JavaScript uses a Document Model Object(DMO) to dynamically update the content regularly so that instant optimization in it is possible. Now if we talk about the server-side, it has not much of a difference as it uses the same languages like Perl, PHP, Python and Ruby and many other words to make a user experience the new era called Web 2.0.

And another profit in this process of upgrading all the web content as per the Web 2.0 is not even limited to one website as the other sites can also use this process to integrate the critical and customized portions, and the user will get the customized look and feel of the new face of web development.
